76TH PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS
At Imaginary Forces, the creative team and I set out to design the stage looks and nominee package for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards. We aimed for the design to feel light, airy, and colorful, which is a very different approach to the usual Emmy Awards stage looks. With translucent petal-like organic shapes coupled with colorful lighting and gold typography, we achieved this elegant but friendly look.
My role involved designing lower thirds, scene transitions, the show logo and icon, as well as the sponsor mortise, all while maintaining consistency with the overall stage graphics theme.
For the lower thirds, I used a distinct gold text overlay with a subtle light sweep, set against a moving purple gradient background. To enhance the visual dynamism, a sculptural element on the left rotates slightly, adding depth and movement to the design.
I then created a toolkit for the academy to switch on and off elements such as the sculpture as well as allowing them to input various names, shows, and categories as well as making sure there are a variety of choices: 1 line, 2 line, 3 line, social, and scrolling Lower 3rds.
